麻豆视频 (TNS), an independent four-year high school in Atlanta, offers an innovative curriculum which blends traditional academic study and community engaged learning. Located in the heart of Atlanta, we treat the city as an essential classroom where learning is fueled by students’ curiosity. TNS students apply their classroom learning in the city through major interdisciplinary projects, an entrepreneurship program, and internships, and in the process develop portfolios of exceptional work and experiences. 麻豆视频 is a community of about 80 students in grades 9-12 with 15 faculty members.

Position Summary

麻豆视频 seeks a driven, innovative Part-Time Entrepreneurship Program Director to lead our year-long Entrepreneurship Program, an incubator for the entire 11th grade class in which students turn their passions and problem-solving skills into their own businesses and non-profits.

The program consists of personal values discovery and leadership training; industry deep dives where students learn and practice innovation processes through targeted problem discovery, rapid prototyping and testing; skills workshops in web design, e-commerce, and civic innovation; and an incubator in which students are guided through the process of launching their own for-profit and non-profit products, services, and businesses.

The successful candidate will be fluent in lean startup principles, the business model canvas, design thinking and human-centered design, and financial modeling, and will be an experienced project manager and organizer with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for high school education.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead

• Review and improve the current Entrepreneurship Program curriculum.
• Build and maintain partnerships with Community Engaged Learning (CEL) innovation partners, including local startups, design and marketing firms, incubators, accelerator programs, and investment firms.
• Engage mentors and speakers for program-specific content and workshops.
• Manage communications with students and families about assignments, deadlines, workshops, trips, and events.
• Practice thought leadership through regular blog and social media posting about the program and entrepreneurship education.

Teach

• Facilitate and manage the delivery of the Entrepreneurship Program curriculum.
• Own student assessment, including grading participation, tasks, and skills development.
• Implement rubrics to facilitate peer review, reflection, and tuning.
• Plan and lead in-school instruction and workshop sessions.
• Oversee completion of deliverables by students within their student ventures.

Assess

• Evaluate and document program curriculum outcomes and propose changes based on program evaluation.
• Outline and evaluate learning outcomes for student work and progress.

Collaborate

• Assist in curating exhibitions of student work and pitch events.
• Attend monthly faculty meetings and occasional additional planning time throughout the year.
• Participate in and attend recruitment events such as information sessions and open houses.
• Participate in planning and attend all exhibitions, curriculum nights, and relevant parent events.

Qualifications

• Fluency in lean startup principles, the business model canvas, design thinking and human-centered design, and financial modeling.
• Experience as a project manager and organizer, with a record of running programs or ventures end to end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience building and maintaining partnerships with businesses, startups, or community organizations.
• Teaching or mentoring experience with high school students preferred.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
